for the Processing of Personal Data

Production and projection of Video and/or photographic material 

We inform you that on Thursday 21/11/2024 and Friday 22/11/2024, NBG, in collaboration with the bodies participating in the Greek Fintech Hub initiative, is organizing the conference "Fintech Athens 3.0 | Education in Fintech", in the Palamas Building University of Athens and in NBG’s Karatzas Building, in the context of which all or part of the conference will be video recorded and/or photographs will be taken, where we shall be able to record participation by those attending. The audiovisual material (photos and video material) will be used for the purpose of promoting the conference through relevant publications, photo and video materials on the Bank's internal and external communication channels, and particularly on the www.nbg.gr website and on social media (YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X) and in press reports. 

In this context, and if you accept to be included in this audiovisual material, please provide your consent for the collection and processing of your personal data by the Bank as per the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), as detailed below: Your consent may be revoked at any time without affecting the legality of processing on the basis of the consent prior to its being revoked.

More specifically, we inform you of the following:

National Bank of Greece SA, Aiolou 86, GR 102 32 Athens GEMI No. 237901000, T: +30 210 3341000 (“the Bank”) as Data Controller, will collect, maintain and generally process the personal data which concern you and are such as are only absolutely necessary for the purpose of processing:

(i) name (ii) surname (iii) video material and/or photo material from your participation in the said conference (iv) professional capacity.

Purpose of processing:

The processing of your personal data, and in particular your photo and/or video material as above, is carried out exclusively for the purposes of organizing and promoting this conference in the Bank's internal and external communication channels and in press reports.

Recipients of the data:

In the context of carrying out the actions required for the purposes stated above, your personal data will be processed by companies partnered with the Bank, which will undertake the editing, final configuration, and promotion of the relevant material, upon approval of the content by NBG.  

The said personal data shall be processed exclusively for the aforesaid purposes and shall not be disclosed to other third parties, other than the above-mentioned companies partnered with the Bank for this purpose, with the exception of any obligation to disclose said data in accordance with the relevant provisions of the legal and regulatory framework.

Data retention period

The said data concerning you, as well as the photographic and video material that will be created, will be kept in the Bank's records for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose of processing, as well as for historical reasons.

Your rights:

As a Data Subject I can exercise the rights provided for in the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Following verification of your identity, you are entitled to access your personal data, i.e. you may request a copy of the personal data concerning you processed by the Bank in accordance with the above; to request amendment of any incorrect or incomplete data, and, if the conditions of the regulatory framework apply, exercise the rights to erase, restrict processing, request portability of your data, and ensure human intervention in automated processes.

To exercise the above rights, please submit your request by using the special NBG forms available at any of the Bank’s Branches, or by sending an e-mail to [email protected].

In the event that you believe that the protection of your personal data has been compromised, you can refer, if you so wish, the matter to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority.

Pursuant to the above information and provided you accept the said processing of your personal data by the Bank in the context of the aforesaid conference, you can provide your consent by clicking on the corresponding option displayed in the text of the conference registration form under the title "I have been informed and I hereby provide my consent regarding the processing of my personal data by NBG".
